I’ve finally come around to properly unpacking organising my travel haul and realised how much shopping I actually did! So my travel haul will be split in two parts, makeup and then skincare. I’ve always been a bit of a shopaholic and it didn’t help that there happened to be a lot of sales on whilst I was in Korea! Anyways, now on to the haul.
I couldn’t resist getting this blusher as not only is the colour a lovely peachy coral blush with a slight shimmer but the case is equally adorable. The blusher comes in compact little case with a fluffy puff at the bottom so is perfect to pack in your makeup bag for touch-ups during the day! Also, the puff is removable so you are able to pull it off to clean it or swap out your dirty used puffs for a clean one if you’re not bothered to wash it!
Every mascara that I have used thus far has immediately restored my eyelashes back to its stick straight form right after applying it on my curled lashes. So, I’m still on the hunt for (and yet to find) a good mascara that can hold my short but thick eyelashes in a curl! I stumbled upon this two-step long lash mascara whilst browsing the April Skin products in store and decided to give this a try.
I decided to give this primer a try since I loved another product from this line, the Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder. To be honest Innisfree is one of my favourite k-beauty brands and there hasn’t really been a product that I have tried that I didn’t like!
I recently dyed (& bleached) my hair again so it is now a fair bit lighter so needed a lighter shade of eyebrow gel to match my hair as the one I currently have was for my previously darker hair colour.
After running out of my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion I was in store for a new eyeshadow primer so thought I’d give this a try, plus it was super cheap.
This concealer was raved about so much online that I definitely had to pick this up to try for myself to see if it really was worth the hype, and just like the eye primer I mentioned, it was also very affordable at only 5 000 won (and it was also on sale when I went at 4 000 won)!
I already mentioned how much I love this No Sebum Powder in one of my previous monthly favourites, which is why I had to buy back-up for when I’m finished using my current one stashed in my makeup pouch!
I bought this Black Magic Snow Cushion after trying this out in-store as I really like the great coverage it had and that it dried to a nice smooth matte finish. At the time of buying it there was also a promotion that each cushion came with a free refill!
I always find it hard to find perfect concealer and always end up having so many concealers open at once so that I can mix and match to get the correct shade! So I decided to get this concealer kit as it’ll let me customise and mix the perfect colour for my face!
After scouring so many stores for a good contouring kit I picked this one up as the colour suited my skin tone well and didn’t have any shimmer like many of the other brands.
So this one was one of those random impulse purchases I got after the sale assistant at the store was diligently showing me all the products available and insisted on showing me how to use them by applying my makeup for me. She created and applied a whole look from base to eyeshadow and blush! And this product was the base product she used and I loved it so much that I bought it!
Labiotte’s Wine Lip products have been super popular and I have been wanting to try it for a while now, so I picked up this beautiful lip tint in #RD02, a pinkish red shade.
The 3CE x Lily May Mac lipsticks were very sought after last year and were so popular that many stores were sold out after they launched it. So when I saw that these were still available in store I definitely could not leave without grabbing one for myself!
Whilst at Stylenanda I picked up this adorable tinted lip balm as to be honest I was suckered into the sleek packaging and love a good moisturising tinted lip balm.
I’ve always wanted to try Pony Effect products and the Stayfit Matte Lip Colours were high on my list.
I’ve always been a sucker for interesting packaging or anything ‘limited edition’ so when I saw this adorable Peripera year of rooster 2017 special edition lip ink I couldn’t resist!
I picked up this set as I always love to get mini or travel size version of products as they are perfect to try a product before fully committing to a full size one or just to pop into your makeup bag for touch-ups on the go! Bonus is that the packaging is super cute and comes in a nice customisable (includes cute little stickers) metal tin that would be great to store makeup or jewellery in! I also bought an extra set as they would make a fun little gift!
Dear Rus Gel Nail #DRG543
This was a gel polish brand I found whilst browsing in Olive Young and were super cheap especially for a gel polish, only 4 900 won aka about $5!
I’m always looking for new Gel polishes to add to my collection and haven’t yet tried any from A’Pieu and these 3 lovely blues and greens caught my attention.
I didn’t even know that Labiotte made Gel Nail polishes but after seeing that they also came in the adorable wine bottle packaging like the popular lip tints, I couldn’t resist the cuteness! Though I only picked up one as there weren’t that many colours to choose from which was a little disappointing as I would have gladly bought more!
And that’s it for the makeup section of my travel haul!
It’s going to take me a while to get through using all these new products but I’m super excited to try them out. So look out for reviews throughout the year!
Let me know in the comments below if there was a particular product you would like me to review first, and be sure to look out for the 2nd part of my travel haul – skincare later this month!
