It’s now August, so time for a new monthly favourites. It’s still Winter here in Australia but luckily not long now until Spring! I’m excited to escape the cold weather, and looking forward to warmer days. Anyways, now time to take a look at my July Favourites.
I got suckered into buying these cute Etude House Darling Lip Talks lipsticks as the cases were just too cute to resist. My favourite cases were the Fries and Vitamin designs as they are so fun and adorable. I really like that they are customisable and love to mix and match the cases. Apart from the adorable cases, my favourite colour was of course #GR701 – a fun color changing pastel blue lipstick that changes to a soft pink shade upon application. It gives the lips a nice natural pink colour that blends and enhances your natural lip colour so will suit all skin tones and lips! If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen this cute lipsticks in some of my recent posts.
I have been using this Triple C Lightning Liquid for a couple of months now and have been loving the results I am seeing. My skin has definitely changed for the better. I actually just posted a review of this recently, you can check out my full review here: Cosrx Triple C Lightning Liquid Serum.
July was quite a busy month of long days and late nights, which isn’t particular great for the body or my skin. This meant in July breakouts and pesky pimples made an unwanted appearance on my face. These Cosrx pimple patches really were a life saver and helped to keep my uninvited guests on my face in check!
Ok, so I realise this is my 3rd Cosrx product mentioned for my July Faves, but I promise you this isn’t a sponsored post! I’ve just been really loving their stuff and only began trying their products this year (yes, I know I’m a little late to jump on the bandwagon). My skin has been quite dry of late, which is very normal for me during colder seasons. These toner pads have been great as they are quick and easy to use, and definitely help to hydrate my skin. They are also great value as it comes with 70 toner pads. These definitely live up to its name ‘Moisture Up’ as each toner pad is saturated with lots of moisturising toner that makes my skin feel soft and hydrated. I’ll be posting up a full review later this month.
I have been trying to pack lighter these days so I have been using this cute little light blue bag from Pedro. I bought this during my trip to Singapore the beginning of this year but didn’t really start using it until now. I love the colour, it’s a lovely light blue that has a slight purple-ish hue, so pretty and unique! It has a long adjustable strap and two magnetic snap buttons to close the bag flap. The bag is small but still manages to fit quite a lot inside but it is great as it keeps me from over packing and just bringing the necessities with me.
I first discovered Hotshot whilst watching Produce 101 Season 2 and saw how talented they were. So, when I heard they released a new track in July I decided to check it out. After the first listen I couldn’t get this track out of my head and had it on repeat. It is a catchy and upbeat track with an addictive chorus that is a great dance/club style song. It may not be the most unique song but I definitely enjoyed listening to it.
I wasn’t particular a fan of many of Seventeen’s previous track though I admit they were very catchy and addictive. Their songs just never were my style. ‘Don’t Wanna Cry‘ is quite different from their usual sound as it leans more towards western pop and is less kpop. I think this change really suits them and I found myself loving this song. I have been playing this on repeat after the first listen. I know many others have mixed feeling about this song as their title track since it is very different but for me I really liked it!
Designated Survivor is a political drama, and not the usual show that I am interested in. Tom Kirkman (played by Kiefer Sutherland), is a low-level Cabinet member who is assigned to be the designated survivor, next in the presidential line of succession, in case of an emergency. When I began watching I wasn’t quite sure I’d like it but definitely glad I gave it a try. It was an interesting watch and I plan to watch the next season when it comes out later this year.
I was looking for a new show to watch this month and stumbled upon Zoo. The show is based on a book of the same name written by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge. It is about a group of people who work together to investigate the violent animal attacks on humans occurring globally. Initially when I started watching this I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. After watch a few episodes I was hooked and I ended up really enjoying it. I liked all the main cast and thought they all played their roles well. I have to admit it got me thinking ‘what if this really happened?’!
What were some of your favourites last month, and have you tried or seen any of my favourites for July?
