April Favourites flatlay colourpop blithe neogen

It has been quite a while since I last posted a monthly favourites on my blog (*coughs* 2017), so thought I was due in for one! I’m going to try to get back to a schedule and posting more regularly again soon. So here’s my favourites for April.

Makeup

Colourpop Individual Eyeshadow Palette

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen this Colourpop Palette in a few of my posts. All the shades are very pigmented and blendable. Firstly is ‘Hear Me Out’, a matte light peach that works as a great base shade. Next up is my fave shade of the bunch, ‘Ringer’, a metallic champagne gold that is a beautiful highlight shade perfect for the inner corners of the eyes or the brow bone area.  A little bit of ‘Ringer’ goes along way to brighten up the eyes. Next is ‘Come and Get It’, a gorgeous duochrome pink rose shade with gold flip, pictures really don’t do it justice as it is so beautiful in person! I love to use this on the outer 3rd of my eyelids to add a pop of colour. Lastly, I like to use the shade ‘Boxer’, a metallic deep bronze to build up some depth by blending a little of this from the outer corners of the eyelid inwards.

AprilSkin Magic Snow Cushion 2.0 in #23

The AprilSkin Magic Snow Cushion has been my go-to cushion for the past few months. I love that it has a medium buildable coverage but still looks super natural on the skin .The shade matches my skin perfectly and gives a nice flawless finish.

Skincare

Blithe Green Tea Splash Mask

The Blithe Green Tea Splash Mask has been something I’ve been eyeing for quite a long time and finally decided to try it out. I’m so glad I did as it really has become an essential in my night time skincare routine and I am planning to buy a backup bottle ASAP. The splash mask has definitely helped to calm and soothe my skin. I’ll be doing a full review of this later this month.

Neogen Real Fresh Foam Green Tea Cleanser

This has been the cleanser I have been reaching for the most recently. I love that it has real green tea leaves floating in the bottle and has a fresh green tea scent that is calming and refreshing. The pump dispenses a luxurious light and fluffy foam that feels soft and gentle on the face. I definitely want to try the other variations of this cleanser.

Music

Momoland – Boom Boom

After the first listen I was hooked and listening to this song on repeat, it is super addictive and catchy. The music video is super cute, fun and a little quirky. It definitely makes for the perfect workout song or mood booster as it’s so upbeat and fun.

Pentagon – Shine

I only discovered Pentagon late last year through Triple H where a couple of Pentagon members formed a unit with Hyuna. I never really knew much about them until I saw them perform live at KCON Australia for the first time. I was impressed by their KCON performances and started to get into their music because of it. Their latest title track ‘Shine’ is very fun, lively and addictive. I also enjoyed the music video for it too as it’s cool, fun and really suits them as a group.

Television

Lucifer

I am very much surprised that I only discovered ‘Lucifer’ this year! The TV series already had 3 seasons out and I’ve finally caught up with all of them! The show, like its name implies, is about a character called Lucifer Morningstar who is literally the devil. He one day decides he’s over being a servant of hell and takes leave to Los Angeles. ‘Lucifer’ is a crime/detective show with a fantasy twist that is super fun to watch and has a great main cast.

Age of Youth Season 1 and 2

I enjoyed binge-watching both seasons of ‘Age of Youth’ last month. It definitely was not the typical youth kdrama. I loved all the little surprises and twists along the way. I much preferred season 1 since not all the original cast were there in the second season, but I still enjoyed watching both nevertheless. The characters were relatable and loveable in their own ways. I love that romance wasn’t the focus but rather friendship, unlike most youth kdramas.

I’m Not A Robot

I had ‘I’m Not A Robot’ on my to-watch list for a while and finally decided to give it a go. I wasn’t expecting much from it but I ending up really liking it. It’s a cute rom-com kdrama that has quite a silly concept which is what makes it so fun and enjoyable to watch. The main couple Yoo Seung Ho and Chae Soo Bin are just so adorable and had such good chemistry. I definitely would love to see another drama with both of them as leads again!
